South Energy believes that the Narrogin site is ideal for a BESS project for the following reasons:
Covering approximately 25 hectares of land, the Narrogin BESS Project is a utility-scale energy storage project with a proposed installed capacity of approximately 200 megawatts (MW), and 800 megawatt-hour (MWh) energy storage.
Narrogin BESS Project is located in the south-east of Western Australia, approximately 5 km south of Narrogin, and about 200 km south-east of Perth.
A community investment program will be initiated to distribute funds for local community projects. This is supplementary to the many diverse economic opportunities resulting directly and indirectly from the project’s development.
